about

This album was recorded in June and July of 2014, except for half of 'Giving up the ghost (ver. 2), which I initially recorded on the boat in 2011 I think. The instruments played on 'Loom' were electric guitars, acoustic guitars, the 3-stringed tin can ezratar, bass guitar, organ, electric piano, epinette des vosges, pannetje, super messed up electric piano, singing voices, different noise generators, cardboard box, fake drums, real cymbals, tambourine and egg shakers.

Rutger Marsman did the mastering of this album and he did it disturbingly well. For this he deserves all your money so give it to him.

Of course Puck Ingen Housz sang on a lot of these songs (in fact every song except 'Never needy / always easy-street' and 'Trampoline mind'), made the artwork, suggested stuff that made everything better than it was and provided me with feedback on the whole thing. The song 'Puck's high school prom' was originally a song / idea by Puck but the recording got really really messed up and glitched by a weird computer. I took the vocals and recorded instruments around it. Please note that Puck also absolutely co-wrote 'O future', 'Sunshy' and 'Grow fangs and bite'.

Erik Giesen sang the main vocals on 'Sunshy' (he's in a band called 'The Hippy Tree Friends Collective', look it up on the in-ter-web, they're good) and on 'Apocalypse' you'll be hearing voices of Puck Ingen Housz, Bram Derksen, Christopher Kalkman, Arnoud Lievers and Guusje Ingen Housz.
